In 2017, Tom Hardy said that he had signed on for three more Mad Max movies following Mad Max: Fury Road. The idea behind the Mad Max series is that each movie stands alone and tells its own story, like Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry or Charles Bronson’s Death Wish series.
